Strategically speaking…
Pension funds & trade union subscriptions;
We need to seriously pool #ourcommUnity resources financially, which we have in UK pension funds, and stop trade union subscriptions altogether.
Weekly our ‘Households’ contribute between two to four million pounds a in subscriptions to UK trade unions. That’s money we see very little of and just get crumbs from the table in relation to that. We seriously need to pool our exiting financial resources and make this four million pounds a week work for us in relation to #ourcommUnity growth; economically and politically, not to mention our #ReparationsNOW initiative.
Pensions;
#ourcommUnity in the UK alone has 2 to 4 trillion pounds in UK pension funds we need to start pulling out of trade union and employer pension funds and pool that money by starting #ourOWN pension funds. Its money we already have, its money we’re already contributing to from our income, the only thing is; that money, that resource, is NOT working for us, and we need to make that work for us now and the next generation, our children and grandchildren, particularly in terms of investment in business and new business start-ups. Also property and particularly new builds, which are built from scratch, from design concept to finish, where we can appoint African architects, African builders, to do that work, again that will spark growth in terms of; developing #ourOWN #Afrikan community economy in the United Kingdom.
Getting there;
We need to stop approaching others outside our immediate community for financial support, we need to dig into our own pockets to fund a basic infrastructure; office, telephone lines, and capable website.
Then the campaign initiatives we have such as the reparations march, will then simply take care of themselves financially, when we have that basic infrastructure in place.

Cart before the horse;
We as a community constantly keep putting the cart before the horse whether this is in respect of our retail shops, where we start shops before opening a cash and carry and then need to rely on other people’s cash and carries or we begin to organise national campaigns and we do not even have a basic office the size of a dog kennel, that is putting the cart before the horse especially when we have no overall financial strategy such as recalling our pensions money and subscriptions from the UK pension funds. That strategy of pulling out of UK pension funds alone, just doing that now would begin to provide that two to four million pounds each week, which would absolutely fund all we need to do as a #commUnity and it would act as a financial foundation and seed funding for any and everything there after…
We seriously need to act strategically. Put the egos and mistrust and distrust aside and get on with it. The African community has a great untapped power…
